I went caving at Craters of the Moon. I went in three different caves. The first one I went to was Dewdrop Cave. When I went inside, I found a miniature pond and a little hole - I tried to go in it, but I didn't fit. The second cave I went to was called Boy Scout Cave. We didn't go far in that one because we didn't have bright enough flashlights and it was very dark. It was also too hard to crawl through without helmets and knee pads. The third one I went to was Beauty Cave. I walked all the way to the end - about 70 feet - but I couldn't go past that point because there was a sign that said not to go any farther because the ceiling was unstable. When I went out of the cave, I found a tiny entrance that I could fit through. I squeezed through and showed Mommy my hand so she knew I was there. Then I popped my head out...
Besides exploring in the caves, I also saw a spatter cone and a "snow cone." When I looked inside the snow cone, I saw a big pile of snow and a hat. Someone must have leaned too far over and his hat fell off. Oops. I'm so glad we went to Craters of the Moon because it was so much fun going caving.
