Well...we made it to the big city. All the way from Atlanta, GA to San Francisco, CA - so many miles that Matt is already looking for a place to have the oil & fuel filters changed on the truck. Wow. We made our way down from Mendocino slowly yesterday, stopping in a few little towns along the way to check out farmer's markets and have lunch. The kids got to ride with Bema & Peepaw - playing a heated game of "Rubberneckers" most of the way (so I am told).
Once we parted ways with grandparents in Petaluma, we got set up quickly just outside the city and headed off to Trader Joe's for a quick grocery re-stock (there are some benefits to a big city...). Dinner with Matt's co-worker in Alameda was on the agenda, and we had the pleasure of relaxing at the pool while kids played before enjoying a wonderful home-cooked meal. It was great to meet Joan and her family - and to watch Isaac and her two boys, Mateo and Luis, run as a pack for a few hours. We headed back to the camper with full bellies and new friends...
Today - it's San Francisco, here we come!
